The round trip was a complete success: With Fidel, we had a very competent, reliable, and always approachable tour guide. Since our group was quite small (14 people), a good team spirit and a pleasant atmosphere developed after a short time. The program was very demanding, at times also exhausting. But you "chase" from one highlight to the next: first the diverse desert, then the varied Pacific coast. The Andes are fantastic—the passes (up to 4,910 m), the condors, the volcanoes, the many animals. Lima, Arequipa, Puno, and Cuzco: very different, all cities very worth seeing and charming. First the beautiful Lake Titicaca (much more beautiful than expected), then the highlight of the trip: Machu Picchu! The feeling of standing in front of this wonderful city is indescribable! Also worth mentioning positively: a modern tour bus, in which even long journeys were comfortable (with magnificent views of the country and people from the bus as well). Mostly very good, comfortable hotels with a rich breakfast and very pleasant service. And we had great weather throughout the entire trip (especially important at Lake Titicaca and in Machu Picchu), which the tour operator organized wonderfully ...
