A magical night in the dunes

Golden light sweeps across the warm sand as you stand on the dune. In front of you, an endless horizon glows in fiery colours – sunset over Huacachina is pure magic. Afterwards, you walk or ride by buggy to the camp, where your tent is already waiting.

Far from the crowds, you enjoy a campfire beneath a clear sky with your small group. Our local team prepares dinner right there in the desert – a memorable meal in perfect silence. Later, as you close your eyes, the only sound is the wind moving through the sand. And with a little luck, you’ll see the Milky Way above you.

Huacachina is one of the few oases in South America – a magical place in the heart of the Peruvian desert. During the day it is a popular excursion spot, but at night it transforms into the setting for an extraordinary natural experience. While others stop by only briefly, we stay. Our tents are set up among the dunes, far from the hotels. There are no streetlights, no engines – only sand, stars and silence.
