South America is a place full of surprises, emotions, nature, and incredibly kind people. We were able to experience all of this and we owe it to our tour leader Charlotta that this trip became such a special experience. The programme was full, but you do not fly to South America to relax, you go to experience something, and Viventura achieved that with the programme they offered and gave us wonderful variety. We would do it again anytime, and again with our Charlotta. (Barbara K. - Sept. '25)

Chile is also the gateway to two of the world’s most extraordinary destinations: Antarctica and the enigmatic Easter Island, famed for its remarkable stone figures, the Moai. Known as Rapa Nui in the language of its indigenous people, Easter Island is one of the most remote places on Earth - over 1,300 miles (2,100km) from the nearest inhabited land and more than 2000 miles (3,200km) from the Chilean mainland.

One of Chile’s most iconic landscapes is the Atacama Desert, renowned as the driest desert in the world. On a small-group journey through Chile, you can explore its otherworldly wonders: the surreal Moon Valley or Valle de la Luna, the dramatic Death Valley (Valle de la Muerte), the impressive Tatio Geysers, and shimmering salt flats where flamingos gather.
The colours and contours of this desert scenery are unlike anything else: an unforgettable experience for curious travellers and keen photographers alike.

For those who enjoy walking and gentle trekking, Chile offers some of the most breathtaking scenery on the planet. In Torres del Paine National Park, you’ll find one of the world’s most celebrated hiking routes, leading towards the park’s iconic granite towers. Travelling further south brings you into the heart of Patagonia, a region nicknamed "Nature's Masterpiece" for its extraordinary beauty that also encompasses the famed Torres del Paine National Park.
This UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, part of the Andes range, is renowned for its dramatic mountains, mighty glaciers and striking turquoise lakes.
On your organised Chile tour, you’ll experience some of the world’s most spectacular landscapes. While exploring the park, you may encounter guanacos, condors soaring overhead and, with a little luck, even the elusive puma.

At Chile’s southernmost tip lies Tierra del Fuego: a wild, wind-swept archipelago that truly feels like the end of the world. Here you can venture to Cape Horn, the southernmost headland of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago.
This remote and rugged region offers a powerful glimpse into nature at its most elemental, where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans meet in a dramatic, restless embrace.

To the south of Santiago, you’ll reach Chile’s picturesque Lake District, a region of lush forests, sparkling lakes and snow-capped volcanoes, offering a true haven for lovers of the outdoors. Here you can enjoy gentle walks, kayaking or a spot of fishing in serene surroundings.
The charming town of Puerto Varas, with its distinctive German-influenced architecture and magnificent views of Osorno Volcano, makes an ideal base for exploring the area. From the lakes and volcanoes around Puerto Varas and Chiloé to the dramatic fjords beyond, there is an abundance of natural wonders waiting to be discovered.

The fjords and glaciers of southern Chile are true natural marvels. As you journey through these icy waters, you’ll witness towering glaciers cascading towards the sea and dramatic fjords carved over thousands of years by the forces of nature.
The remote beauty of this region is best appreciated on an organised tour, where you can venture into hidden coves and untouched landscapes that few travellers ever reach.

One of the true highlights of any journey through Chile is a visit to the remote and strikingly beautiful region of Sud Lípez. Far from the usual tourist routes, this area rewards travellers with breathtaking desert scenery and shimmering salt flats.
Its vividly coloured lagoons, often dotted with elegant flamingos and framed by dramatic mountain backdrops, create a surreal and unforgettable experience.
Chile stretches for more than 2,500 miles (4,100km) along the west coast of South America, giving it an exceptional variety of climates. Unlike Colombia, Chile experiences clearly defined seasons similar to those in Europe, though their intensity varies from region to region.
The best time to visit Chile depends entirely on which parts of the country you’d like to explore:
Stargazing in the Atacama Desert: Experience one of the clearest night skies on Earth and enjoy an unforgettable evening of stargazing. Under the vast desert canopy, you’ll be captivated by the Milky Way and the constellations of the southern hemisphere.
Osorno Chairlift: Take the chairlift up the slopes of Osorno Volcano and revel in sweeping views of the surrounding lakes and mountains. It’s a panoramic experience you’ll remember for years to come.
Curanto Cooking Class on Chiloé: Learn how to prepare curanto — Chiloé’s famous traditional dish, cooked in a pit beneath the earth. This is an authentic and sociable culinary experience that brings you right into the heart of local culture.
Overnight Stay in Torres del Paine: Spend a night in the heart of one of the world’s most beautiful national parks. With majestic mountains, glaciers and crystal-clear lakes on your doorstep, you’ll be fully immersed in pristine Patagonian nature.
Sailing on Lake Grey: Step aboard for a scenic cruise on Lake Grey, where you’ll come face to face with some of Patagonia’s most impressive glaciers. A memorable adventure on the water, surrounded by spectacular ice landscapes.
Visit to a Traditional Estancia: Discover the authentic life of Chilean gauchos on a traditional estancia. Share in their daily routines, admire their horsemanship and gain a deeper appreciation of Chile’s rural heritage.
