Leave the usual tourist routes behind and venture into a corner of Peru where authenticity truly reigns: the community of Cottos, perched at 3,800 metres on the Capachica peninsula. Here you will meet German, Faustina, José, Eulogia, Alfonso and Quintina – farming families who, thanks to community tourism supported by Viventura and our VSocial Foundation, generously share their daily lives with visitors.
After a warm welcome on arrival, you will settle into a traditional home before sharing a typical dinner by the fire, accompanied by laughter, stories and meaningful silences. Those who wish can climb to the village viewpoint, more than 4,000 metres above sea level, to enjoy a breathtaking panorama over Lake Titicaca. An evening you will not forget.
A warm welcome from local families
Authentic immersion in Andean daily life
Direct support for local development through VSocial
A friendly shared dinner and a night in a traditional home
Unique panoramic views over Lake Titicaca

The community tourism project in Cottos, on the shores of Lake Titicaca, was born from a shared ambition: to offer travellers a genuinely human experience while supporting local development. With the help of the VSocial Foundation, Viventura has built a direct partnership with several families in the community. The principle is simple: every traveller is welcomed as a guest, not as a tourist.
The income generated from these visits helps improve living conditions, fund educational, agricultural and health projects, and preserve local traditions. This form of alternative tourism creates a respectful bridge between two worlds and offers our travellers something truly rare – the feeling of being genuinely connected to a place and to the people who call it home.
