The best time to travel to Bolivia

Bolivia boasts an impressive diversity of landscapes – from the Andean highlands to the lush Amazon rainforest. While the country is generally accessible year-round, certain months are particularly advantageous depending on the region. The dry season, from May to October, is considered the best time to visit: sunny days and clear skies make exploring the highlands and places like the Salar de Uyuni or the Cordillera Real especially enjoyable. During the rainy season, from November to April, Bolivia reveals its vibrant, lush side – and the salt flats create a spectacular mirror effect. For the Amazon rainforest, the dry season is recommended, as trails are easily navigable and wildlife is more readily observed.
