In the green hills of the Colombian highlands lies Silvia – a place that is special not only geographically, but spiritually as well. Here lives the Indigenous Guambiano community, renowned for their vibrant traditional dress and deeply rooted customs. And it is here that a rare doorway opens for you: alongside the Taita – the community’s spiritual leader – you take part in a meditative walk, learn about healing plants and gain insight into the Indigenous way of understanding the world.
The encounter is gentle, respectful and profoundly moving. It is not a tourist display, but a moment of genuine connection – honest, unembellished and possible only with us.

+1
The Guambiano – or Misak, as they call themselves – are one of Colombia’s Indigenous peoples who, despite centuries of colonial and modern pressures, have preserved much of their spiritual and cultural identity. In the small town of Silvia, high in the Cauca region, they continue to live according to traditional principles, wearing their colourful clothing with pride and passing on their knowledge from one generation to the next.
The Taita is far more than a healer. He is a spiritual guide, a storyteller and a guardian of cultural heritage. Meeting him is not a performance – it is a moment of listening, learning and humility. Our long-standing relationship with the Guambiano community is what makes this encounter possible in the first place – respectful, authentic and fully aligned with local culture.
