Best time to travel to Colombia

Colombia lies close to the equator and has a tropical climate year-round – temperatures remain stable, while rainfall varies depending on the region and altitude. The dry seasons from December to March and July to August are considered the best time to travel: ideal weather for exploring Bogotá, Medellín, or the Caribbean coast. During the rainy season (April–June and September–November), showers are more frequent, usually short and occurring in the afternoon. Overall, Colombia is a good destination year-round – however, those who prefer sunshine and clear days should travel between December and March.
