about us

viventura  l  advantages

which viventura advantages do we offer you if you travel with us to South America?
1.

viSpecialised

  l

We know South America like the back of our hand

Just give us a call and throw some tough questions at us. You will notice that we know South America. There is no need to give us a 'product-ID' of a tour. We just do South America, that's our passion and we'll stick to it.

2.

viOffices

  l

we have eight exclusive offices in South America

viventura is a network of South American tourism specialists. Our eight offices are located in Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia and Venezuela. This enables us to continually research our destinations to make sure we can offer you the best tours and the best value for your money. We also have Sales Offices in other countries where the staff have excellent knowledge of South America because they participate in at least one tour per year.

3.

viResponsible

  l

... and you don't even notice it

Through detailed planning of our tours, we ensure that all associated activities, accommodation and the contribution of our partners adheres to sustainable tourism. This aspect of our work is very much in the background to ensure that you can relax and simply focus on enjoying the tour. Furthermore, 30 EUR per person is donated directly to viSozial, our foundation that promotes social and environmental projects in South America.

4.

viFun

  l

they really like their job

Do you know those tour guides that have done their tours a thousand times and have no interest in going again? Well, we assure you, our tour guides are highly motivated. They often have no background in tourism, but rather enthuse us by their passion for their country. And they want to share it with you!

5.

viPersonal

  l

travel in small groups with a personal assistant

For viventura you are not a "customer number", you are an individual seeking a personalized service. That's why you are just in contact with one contact person from viventura, who will know everything about your needs. Your guide will treat you like a friend and not like a client. When traveling with a group, we make sure, that the groups remain small, a maximum of 12 passengers. This way we make sure you get a personalised service by your tour guide! Also on most tours you will get the chance to get to know the viventura team in person in the destination country.

6.

viItinerary

  l

and you thought this is a no brainer...

You wouldn't believe what we see on our competitors tours. Things we think are so obvious are not dealt with. We plan in detail every itinerary, so we can ensure that:

  • we adapt to the heights in the Andes mountains slowly, we would never fly directly into La Paz for instance
  • on popular tours we make sure we get there before or after the crowds
  • for beautiful photo opportunities, we make sure that we get there early in the morning or late in the afternoon (for better light)
  • when we design an itinerary, we find out when museums are going to be closed (you would think that's the least one could do, right?)
  • viventura will not find you hotels far away from key amendities, where you have to pay huge amounts of money for drinks & meals

And because we don't have yearly catalogues we can change our itineraries quickly, whenever we see a way to further improve the tours.

7.

viContact

  l

nothing is worse than seeing a country through the windscreen of a bus

The streets are full of colour. It would be a shame not to get to know it. We know where places are safe and where they aren't. We make sure that you have the opportunity to interact with real people. We achieve this through little games, visits to social projects or spontaneous situations like visiting colourful markets, that will put you in touch with the locals.

8.

viTransparency

  l

lots of information pays off

All our tours have comprehensive descriptions, compare this to the two-line descriptions of our competitors. They do it for a good reason, the less promises they make, the less they'll be made responsible. We are not afraid of responsibility, we just promise, what we can comply with, but that's a lot.

9.

viDirect

  l

that's why we are 10% cheaper

Sales made through traditional travel agencies are more expensive because the agency takes commission of about 10%. viventura works directly with clients in South America, so we are able to pass the commission saved on to you. That's why we are able to offer top quality tours at excellent value for money.

10.

viValue

  l

if you don't believe it, talk to our clients

Probably the most underestimated issue is hidden costs. We promise you: there are simply no hidden costs. Here are examples of practices by our competitors, you won't find at viventura:

  • excursions that are not included in the tour and may be bought on location are overpriced (at viventura you even get it below the official price, if we can arrange it)
  • tour guides tell you, that souvenirs on the street are bad quality, but their "cousin" works in a souvenir factory with excellent quality souvenirs, needless to say, that the guide gets a heavy commission
  • tour guides tell you: "typical restaurants are great, but the lack of hygiene is a problem, so it's better to go to a tourist restaurant", needless to say, it is not typical or economic
  • "we recommend you tip about XX EUR". On viventura tours tips are always voluntary. We would never ask you to give tips (though voluntarily you can pay them if you wish)
  • viventura will not find you hotels far away from key amendities, where you have to pay huge amounts of money for drinks & meals

11.

the viGuarentee

  l

if we don't comply, you get your money back

We have the highest standards on quality and professionalism. If we don't comply with our promises we meet the bill.

12.

viSecurity

  l

your payments are guaranteed

viventura as a leading European tour operator offers you the guarantee that all your payments are safe. European law requires tour operators to insure all client payments against bankruptcy.

13.

viCommunication

  l

we are not afraid of criticism

When you travel with viventura we ask you for feedback and we publish all constructive feedback on our website; there is no censorship here. Furthermore, you can follow all group tours through the travel diary and you'll see: we comply with our promises. Or why not take a look at our blog which is another forum for criticism. Why? Because we are confident regarding the quality of our services. We are not perfect and our clients contually help us to get better. We see our open communication as a chance, not a threat!
