Jamie came to work for viventura by accident, after taking a last minute decision to escape the rat race in London, where he worked as a game designer. It's debatable whether viventura employed him for his relevant skills or just his red hair and Irish ancestry. But, he's grateful for the opportunity to design exiting tours to some of the most inspiring countries in South America. When he is not selling tours to his Irish customers, he likes to fight with his slightly aggressive fox terrier, cook pasta and drink red wine.

Our office is in a quiet part of Arequipa, about 2 km from the centre. Arequipa is the second largest city in Peru. Above all we enjoy the pleasant climate and the good cuisine. Our travel groups are regularly invited to have lunch in our office and to try one of the many local specialities.

The office is in a relatively green suburb of Quito. It takes you about 40 minutes by bus to get there from the centre of the Old town. With your trip to Ecuador you will probably visit the office as we regularly invite our travel groups to have lunch with us. We have a house keeper who loves to cook new recipes, so you have a good chance to try them.

Due to the "two touristic seasons" our office in Buenos Aires has two complete seasons. From octobre till march it's a really busy place. With the phone ringing almost every minute, we hardly have time to drink a typical "Mate". From April to September the scenery changes. We research the different regions of Argentina to make sure we are up to date with all the new offerings. Apart from that we train our guides, to make sure that you have the best possible experience, when you come to visit us here in Argentina.

The office in Santiago is in the middle of the town, near the Plaza de Armas and the cathedral. Therefore, you can find everything that one needs in the immediate surroundings - even fresh fish in the market square. The metro station is only 5 minutes away on foot. Santiago is the capital of Chile and has more than 5 million inhabitants. From here you can make trips to the Andes - for walking or climbing - as well as to the nearby coast.

Bogota is the capital of Colombia. Its high altitude means you will never experience too much humidity. With its 8 million inhabitants it is one of the biggest cities in South America. Our office is in the neighbourhood called Las Villas, in a calm part of the city. It is quite small but it has its own green jungle, the so-called: Florida room.

The office is in a small mountain village in the south of Brazil, called Doutor Pedrinho and is still surrounded by pure primeval forest. It is 80km to the nearest cinema and about 35km to the nearest disco. But you will find the nearest waterfall near the house as well as great rivers for rafting and kayaking just around the corner. Clean air and drinking water from the primeval forest and the absence of cars and traffic jams characterises the region. It is a place for nature lovers and adventurers. The beach is only 140km, while the beautiful capital state of Florianópolis is only 200km away.

Our office is located on Margarita Island, only 300 meters from the famous and beautiful beach of Playa El Agua. Aside from our work we enjoy all kinds of beach activities, the Caribbean atmosphere and the freshest seafood.

The office in La Paz is with Tomás, Rita and a trainee is one of the smaller teams at viventura. Embedded in the valley of the highest situated city of the world it is on approx. 3,400 m in the quarter Irpavi. We share the big office with Lakauta, a Fair-Trade enterprise. The duties of the office are production and calculation of the tours in Bolivia and the coordination of the viSozial project "Luz de Esperanza" and "Santiago de Okola"
